On the first night of campaign (24 Feb 2008), Chin Wen went to campaign at Taman Sejati (Daerah Mengundi: Taman Sejati ,1399 voters).
He met Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon, the outgoing Penanf Chief Minister, face to face during an event organised by local resident. As a new candidate, he went to pass on his campaign left let to Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon. This news was captured by a local Chinese daily.
Although faced some difficulty, Chin Wen still managed to shake hand and introduce himself to 300-odds local residents who attended the event. Bravo Chin Wen! You making a break though here.

A second year student of University Purta Malaysia has been found “guilty” by the varsity internal disciplinary tribunal been obstructing the university security officers from discharging their duty. Besides been given stiff warning, he was also suspended for one semester.
Apparently, the “indiscipline” student was stopped by the guard house. He was ordered to have his bag be searched by the security guards. He refused to follow the order as there was no reason given by the security guards. His bag was then seized by some unidentified person who arrived at the scene later.
It seems that the security guards of the unversity have “greater” power than our police force. Even the police need to identify themselves when carrying the search and seizure procedure.
Yet the so-called “indiscipline” student was suspended of his study because he just wanted to know the purpose of the search before he handed over his bag.
Maybe it is the university authority’s view that by enforcing strict disciplinary rules on the students will improve their world ranking.

I apologise for not updating my own blog for the past 2 weeks. Nonetheless, during that time, it was an eventful week for the Malaysian. There were incidents that brought Malaysian into further discussion.
